One of many images now etched in my mind as I REFUSE TO LOOK AWAY as thousands of children and adults are massacred in Gaza
A reported 14,000 children and three times as many adults have been slaughtered in Gaza in the past 6 months. The actual numbers are likely much higher. Over a million civilian men, women and children are trapped in Rafah and right now are again being attacked with bombs (made in the USA) after having been chased from their homes in Gaza, which were destroyed by Israeli (American) bombs. These are the Palestinians. They have been forced to the Northernmost part of Gaza, to Rafah, and are now being forced toward the sea as Israel bombs Rafah.
Rafah is under attack by Israel, despite Hamas having publicly accepted a permanent ceasefire and agreeing to release all Israeli hostages in exchange for release of Palestinian hostages.

No Israeli troops came to the rescue for hours to stop a small group of men who somehow, despite extremely high security by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), breeched the walls of the large open-air prison known as Gaza on October 7.

There are very few journalists left to document the horrors. Some brave journalists have survived (Israel has targeted journalists and killed many since the genocide began). They rely primarily on social media to distribute their videos.

Thank you for your in-depth researched article.
I think the ability to connect worldwide with humanity by social media is educational and positive. Certainly there is infiltration by those characters who may use this technology to shape the narrative for their use. However, there is no putting this form of communication back in the box.
I do think that it needs to be made clear that the ‘protests’ on college campuses, also this evening at the Met Gala, are not organic. They are funded, organized, and driven by outside monied interests who have neither America nor the People of Palestine’s best interests at heart.
These ‘protests’ are not helping the plight of the people under siege by the US and Israel (and others). In fact, the ‘protests’ have turned many, many people from neutrality to siding against the people under siege. Not necessary supporting Israel, but having less empathy for those in harms way.
If you or anyone else thinks for one second these ‘protests’ are helping the Palestinian cause, that is dead wrong. They are hurting. And that is what they are intended to do…fomenting more hatred, more war fever, more death.
The entire thing is despicable. On both sides. And absolutely the US govt is behind all of it.
